Theatre on the Edge is hosted on the traditional and unceded territory of the Secwépemc people.

Theatre on the Edge

Connecting Artists to Audiences.

Theatre on the Edge is what happened when Shuswap Theatre asked the question:

“How can we make more theatre?”

The short answer?

By being a home-away-from-home for artists.

If you were to ask almost any artist that has done the Fringe circuit for a while, they will tell you that it can be brutal.

Venues without technicians or stages or even a changing room?

“Not this year. I’m going to TOTE!”

We love hosting artists in our intimate 149-seat theatre, so why not build an annual theatre festival?!

Musical acts and artist interviews are hosted in our pop-up lounge, known as the Edge Club, sipping delicious local beverages while the sun sets over a beautiful Shuswap summer eve… (Or maybe you’re sipping at lunchtime…? We don’t judge.)
